Huxtable Toast

A HUXTABLE TOAST
by Dr Thorneycroft Huxtable, M.A., Ph.D.,
with a rejoinder by The German Detective

"At this time the pipers rest
though some are answering my goofy test.

And though - confused - their learned minds are reeling,
I guess that's a Sherlockian's usual feeling.

Let's toast the Canon that we have read
for being as efficacious as many a med.

I raise my glass with much appreciation
on Dr. Watson's own recommendation.

And in a little over a week
let's return again to Baker Street.

Through "Valley of Pastiche" we first will amble,
the thought alone makes most Sherlockians tremble. ;-)

And so now I lift my glass of milk
to Sherlockians of each and every ilk!"

And please allow the pipers here to press
some biscuits on you in deep thankfulness. ;-)))

"And ladies keep the scented letters coming
they keep the founder and principal humming."
Dr Thorneycroft Huxtable, M.A., Ph.D

I hear it humming like a hive of bees,
and wonder in whose bonnet we'll find these... ;-)
Claudia
